Registration & Verification Journey

Locate Your LGA Council Secretariat

GEEP desk officers are stationed in all 774 Local Government Area headquarters. Walk in during normal administrative hours (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday).

Obtain Free Physical Registration Booklet

Request the official GEEP registration booklet from the desk officer. Note: Booklets are 100% free of charge under federal law.

Fill Bio-Data, NIN & BVN Verification

Enter your personal bio-data, 11-digit NIN, active BVN, residential address, trade/market location, and designated bank account details.

Field Enumeration & Physical Verification

Accredited GEEP field enumerators will visit your market stall, kiosk, or farmland to record GPS coordinates and verify trading activity.

Mandatory Applicant Checklist

Have these documents ready before meeting the GEEP Desk Officer at your LGA:

Valid 11-digit National Identification Number (NIN)

Active Bank Verification Number (BVN) matching the applicant's name

Active commercial bank account or microfinance bank account

Evidence of active trading (market stall, shop, kiosk, or farming plot)

Membership in a registered trade association or market cooperative (for MarketMoni)

Recent passport photograph
