Catalyzing Grassroots Growth & Food Security

Expanding FarmerMoni agronomic inputs and MarketMoni cooperative funding to drive sustainable rural wealth creation and food sovereignty nationwide.

About us

A focus on everyday enterprise.

The Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme is a social investment initiative under the National Social Investment Programme Agency. It focuses on micro-enterprises and the people whose daily work sustains local markets and rural communities.

MarketMoni, TraderMoni and FarmerMoni address different parts of this economy. Together, they reflect the programme’s emphasis on enterprise development, financial inclusion and livelihoods.

GEEP brings an enterprise focus to social investment: supporting the traders, artisans and smallholder farmers who provide goods, services and employment in their communities. Its three schemes recognise that a market stall, a neighbourhood business and a small farm have different needs, while sharing the same ambition to build a more secure livelihood.
